A lifestyle of freedom for everyday families. Chasing dreams, creating memories.
We believe that it is never too late to chase your dreams. We believe that it’s okay to cast societal norms to the side and do things that are “crazy.”
We moved to Alaska under assignment with the United States Coast Guard, and fell in love with the 49th state. The Coast Guard requires us to move, but we know that Alaska is where we belong. In the wilderness – chasing freedom, wild, and more family memories. So we are leaving societal norms, taking risks, and embracing change and the unknown.
This is ExploreFam. Where we learn, live, love, and explore together.
Join us as we pursue the unconventional. Where we strive to keep our families together as much as possible and teach our kids in all areas of life. You’ll find us exploring the Alaska wilderness as much as possible which is one of nature’s best teachers. And you’ll find us pursuing businesses, health, and schooling together as a family, training our kids that family are our best friends and we do hard things together. And as we pursue this as a family, we are sharing all of it with you! The things we’ve learned, the things we’d do again, the things we would NOT do again, and so much more.
Ben & Sarah run ExploreFam together. You can find them laughing their way through YouTube video productions, editing blog posts, experimenting with new ways to incorporate health and wellness into their family’s life, reading Magic Tree House books to the kids, and homeschooling. If they’re not at home, then you can pretty much assume that they are out with the kids in Alaska wilderness, learning from nature and taking video to share it with you!
Meet the Little Explorers
The Little Explorers keep life interesting. There is never a dull moment whether we are doing bedtime routines, hiking the Alaska hills, or homeschooling around the kitchen table. But they’re also our main inspiration. We want to provide them with the most holistically healthy family lifestyle…be it growing their own food in our vegetable garden, choosing scenery over screens, letting them pursue their own interests in our homeschool journey, and having a tight knit family dynamics.
