The emotions of experiencing a miscarriage are heartbreaking. Essential oils are a great way to emotionally support our systems, and miscarriage is no different. Essential oils can be powerful ways to gain some emotional support after a miscarriage. Here are a few suggestions for the use of essential oils after miscarriage.
Frankincense essential oil is a strong emotional support essential oil. It can help release feelings such as guilt and shame, while also promoting calm and relaxation. I like to apply diluted Frankincense on my wrists and the back of my neck. Even the smell is very calming, so there have been times where I simply sniff the bottle.
Peace & Calming II
When I am upset, I am often exhausted yet too upset to sleep. This was a problem I really struggled with following my miscarriage. Peace & Calming II as an essential oil is not only a calming oil, but it also helps me sleep. Your brain needs a rest following a miscarriage, and your body needs sleep to recover. I love to make a roller and roll it on the back of my neck and sniff it directly before bed. It is a great oil to diffuse in a diffuser, as well.
I find that the Young Living Valor blend is a wonderful emotional support blend. Even though Valor has Frankincense already in it, I like to combine Frankincense and Valor with a carrier oil in a roller bottle to use together. It inspires a sense of bravery, as well as calms feelings of stress. Valor is a wonderful option when battling grief and struggling to get through the days.
Joy & Lemon
Joy is a Young Living blend that is very floral in scent and a great pick-me-up for those down days. I enjoy keeping the floral blend of Joy mixed with the citrus smell of Lemon in a roller bottle. I rub it over my heart and the back of my neck for those times when I’m feeling down and discouraged. Either of these oils could be used individually, but it’s nice to have the two blended together, as well. This blend is very uplifting and are great choices for essential oils after miscarriage.
Not to be left out, Stress Away is an oil blend that works exactly how it sounds. When stress is around, I want my Stress Away to on hand! I love to apply this on my wrists, and often have it on my diffuser jewelry. Stress Away is also one of my favorite blends because it combines some of my favorite essential oil scents all together: Lavender, Vanilla, Lime, Copaiba, and Cedarwood.
