One of the main requests I hear from people is that they want to know which essential oils are good for skin. Well, let me tell you. You won’t be disappointed! There are are wide variety of essential oils that are so good for your skin, and you’ll never want to go back to the days when you did not use them.
If there was one oil for the skin that I had to pick and could not pick any others, it is would be Frankincense. It is one of the oils in my homemade salve that is great for healthy skin support. It is a wonderful oil to include in your homemade face serums, use on warts and wrinkles, and just overall use for healthy vibrant skin. Bonus: it’s also beneficial for immune support and for keeping those calm emotions even when your world is spinning! Frankincense is an oil that can easily be used for both guys and girls; depending on what you blend it with, it can be both masculine or feminine!
Manuka has a beautiful gentle smell that is fairly woodsy. It is one of my favorites for use on the skin. It is another oil that I use within my face serum as it is great for smoothing blemishes and promoting vibrant, healthy skin. This oil is also good to use for your nail health!
This is definitely a floral oil that I would use more for girls, but it is wonderful for skin! Put Geranium in a face serum or combine with water and spritz over your face for a refreshing pick-me-up to your day. It is wonderful to promote healthy skin whether your skin is oily or dry.
Cedarwood could be used by both guys and girls. It has a woodsy smell and beneficial properties for your skin. It makes an excellent oil to massage into the skin to reduce blemishes and give it a healthy glow. Cedarwood also helps open your pores to promote cleansing for your skin. Furthermore, Cedarwood is a great oil to help with sleep support and promote healthy hair, so you can gain multiple benefits from a single essential oil!
Lemon another oil that should not be discounted! It smells amazing and refreshing, and I especially like to combine it with Geranium and Frankincense. It is a great skin cleanser and can help reduce signs of aging. As an added bonus it helps you focus and be energized for the day. Oh, and it smells fresh and happy. If you use Lemon essential oil, however, be sure not to use on skin before sun exposure as it is photosensitive oil.
